Ce terme se compose de deux \u00e9l\u00e9ments : amphi, signifiant \u00ab\u00a0des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0double\u00a0\u00bb, et \u00ab\u00a0bios\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0vie\u00a0\u00bb. Il refl\u00e8te le fait que ces animaux, tels que les grenouilles, les salamandres et les tritons, sont capables de vivre \u00e0 la fois dans l&rsquo;eau et sur terre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Historiquement, les amphibiens passent une partie de leur vie aquatique (souvent sous forme larvaire) et l&rsquo;autre partie dans un habitat terrestre, ce qui illustre leur adaptation unique \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents environnements.
